A desire to create

Olivier and Cédric, founders of La Caravelle Swimwear

La Caravelle was founded by Cédric and Olivier, twins from Strasbourg and part of Generation Y. During the summer of 2015, while staying on the French Riviera, they realized that women’s swimwear was sorely lacking in flair. The majority of models offered little boldness or originality, with predictable cuts and a palette limited to four or five colors dominating 80% of the market. In short, the swimsuits didn’t do enough to enhance every woman’s silhouette.

On the ethical front, it was dismaying to note that 70% of synthetic swimwear was produced in Asia under opaque conditions. Driven by a desire for change, La Caravelle was launched in November 2016. Initially, we distributed niche brands we cherished. However, after a few seasons, we realized that our activity was limited to promoting and shipping products, and we understood that our true fulfillment lay in creation.

The urge to design our own models became irresistible… We decided to embody the values that matter most to us: quality, originality, the empowerment of women, and eco-responsibility. The decision was made, and we took the plunge!

During our teenage years, we were fortunate enough to explore distant cultures that dazzled and inspired us deeply. This passion for travel was infused into the name of our brand: La Caravelle Swimwear. It is aimed at women who aspire to feel elegant and unique through original, high-quality creations. The essence of our universe is reflected in our logo, which depicts a sail, a branch, a ball of thread, water, and a sun.
